It has been in place since the outbreak of a popular revolution three years ago.
A presidential decree on Thursday said the state of emergency was abolished across the whole of Tunisia as of Wednesday.
Longtime President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali was overthrown in the 2011 uprising.
