#AceNewsReport – Dec.01: French President Francois Hollande’s decision to not seek another term in office makes him the first person who has held the position to not run for re-election since World War II, the Guardian reports.
The paper also notes he is France’s least-popular president since the war, currently coming in at just 9 percent in polling on the first round of next year’s race.
He was also facing a potential challenge from his prime minister, Manuel Valls, who has not yet announced a decision on whethe he will put his hat in among the other Socialist party candidates
