KentOnline News reports that the harbour has been evacuated as bomb is dug up at Folkestone seafront of coastal defence works happening on Folkestone seafront apparently dug up the explosive at about 8.44am.
The #bomb, which is thought to be more than 70 years old, was found near the promenade.
This is the bomb that is reportedly causing all the chaos down Folkestone Harbour.
A police spokesman said: “A member of the public had found what was believed to be a wartime munition.
“Officers have cordoned off the area in Folkestone Harbour and the army’s explosives ordnance disposal team has been called to assist.”
A witness said: “There are a lot of people standing down on the quay.
“They are not allowed down there into the harbour.
“The company that’s doing the dredging are not letting anyone pass.”
