WMP British police arrest seventh victim in connection with #ManchesterBombing
A man has been arrested following a disturbance near a vigil in Birmingham city centre this evening (Wednesday 23 May 2017). The 39-year-old Birmingham man – who is known to police and is thought to have a history of mental ill-health – was arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon.
(BBC NEWS) A woman has become the sixth person arrested in the UK over the Manchester Arena bombing, as police said they were investigating a “network.”
Police said they had arrested the woman after an armed raid at a block of flats in Blackley, north Manchester.
Greater Manchester Police said the man was arrested at an address in Nuneaton, Warwickshire.
The arrest is the seventh made by police in the UK.
Another two people, the father and brother of the suicide bomber that murdered 22 people, were detained in Libya.
A police statement read: ‘As it stands, six men and one woman have been arrested in conjunction with the investigation and remain in custody for questioning.’
